Vice-premier of Russia Igor Sechin and Minister of energy and natural resources of Turkey Taner Yoldyz visited OOO “Gasprom Transgas Kazan” and plant “Tatkabel” in Kazan. We remind that Deputy Chairman of RF Government Igor Sechin and Minister of energy and natural resources of Turkey Taner Yoldyz attended XI session of Joint Inter-government Russia-Turkey commission on trade-economic cooperation. On completing plenary session two large enterprises of Tatarstan energy sector were presented to Igor Sechin and Taner Yoldyz.
Three documents were signed today in Kazan following the 11th session held by the Russia-Turkey Intergovernmental Commission. Present at the signing ceremony were Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and commission’s co-chairmen, deputy chairman of the Russian government Igor Sechin and Turkish minister of energy and natural recourses Taner Yildiz. Tatarstan’s trade and economic potential was presented to the Turkish delegation. The commission reviewed issues related to trade and economic relations between the two countries. The parties exchanged views on measures that have to be taken, to expand cooperation in various areas. The main subjects for discussion were regulating trade relations, their legal framework and lifting some existing restrictions.
March, 4. Deputy Chairman of RF Government Igor Sechin arrived in Kazan. He was met by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov at international airport “Kazan”. Igor Sechin arrived in Kazan to take part in XI session of Joint Inter-government Russia-Turkey commission on trade-economic cooperation where RF Vice-Premier holds the post of Co-chairman.

The event took place in cultural-entertaining complex “Pyramid” (Kazan). Nominees and winners of the contest from all municipal regions of republic gathered there.
New opportunities for investment will appear in Tatarstan for Turkish companies. The Minister of energy and Natural resources of the Republic of Turkey Taner Yildiz expressed such an opinion after a meeting with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at the Kazan Kremlin.
Taner Yildiz arrived in Kazan to take part in the opening and plenary meeting of the Joint Turkey-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met Taner Yildiz at the Kazan International Airport.
“Tatarstan Republic is ready to make efforts for creating Kazan Federal University as powerful scientific-educational centre. This issue will be a priority for RT authorities”, - RT President Rustam Minnikhanov said while visiting Kazan Federal University.
Rustam Minnikhanov addressed heads of departments of Kazan Federal University. Head of republic stressed that prospects of any state and any region depend on educational potential. “We have to reestablish positions of Kazan higher school, particularly Kazan University. We have gained the status of federal university but current state of university requires next steps on part of federal institutions and republic”, - RT President stressed.
